We’re Hiring: Technical Officer (P4), Maritime Safety Division – IMO The International Maritime Organization (IMO) is seeking an experienced Technical Officer (P4) to join the Maritime Safety Division (MSD). Working under the direct supervision of the respective Heads of Operational Safety and Maritime Training, and Human Element, the successful candidate will provide technical expertise across operational safety, maritime safety, search and rescue (SAR), training, and human element matters. 🔹 Key responsibilities include: • Supporting Member States on search and rescue, maritime training and human element issues • Preparing documents, reports and meeting outputs for the NCSR and HTW Sub-Committees • Acting as Secretary for IMO working groups • Managing SAR and training-related projects • Leading technical cooperation and capacity-building activities • Liaising with key international partners such as ICAO, ILO and WHO 🔹 We are looking for someone with: • Minimum 7 years’ operational experience in maritime safety or administration • Strong knowledge of IMO instruments (SOLAS, STCW, SAR Convention, ISM Code, IAMSAR) • Expertise in SAR/GMDSS systems and equipment • Proven ability to draft complex documents and provide technical advice • Strong leadership, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills • Advanced degree in a maritime-related field • Excellent command of English 📍 Duty Station: London 📅Apply now: V.N. 25-32 Technical Officer (P.4) https://lnkd.in/ejQ3iHEd Join us in advancing global maritime safety and supporting the human element at the heart of the industry.
