The EP Delegation for Relations with Palestine held an informal exchange of views today with the UN Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People.
The EP Delegation for Relations with Palestine held an informal exchange of views today with the UN Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People.
They discussed the situation in the Occupied Palestinian Territory and the latest developments on the ground.
The visiting delegation, composed of Ambassadors and senior UN officials, included Mr Coly Seck, Chair of the Committee, and Mr Riyad Mansour, Permanent Observer of the State of Palestine to the United Nations.
Meeting on Israeli legislation on use of capital punishment (29/04/2026)
The DPAL met on Wednesday, 29 April 2026, from 15:00 to 16:30 in Strasbourg (Room WEISS S4.4).
The Delegation held an exchange of views on recent legislative developments concerning the use of capital punishment in relation to Palestinian prisoners.
Members engaged with representatives from the European External Action Service (EEAS) and civil society organisations, including Adalah, B'Tselem and Al-Haq, to discuss the legal and human rights implications of these developments.
Meeting on Women in Palestine on 11 March 2026 in Strasbourg

The meeting with hold an Exchange of views with Francesca Albanese, United Nations Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories occupied since 1967

The main issue in the agenda will be an exchange of views on the resource theft and humanitarian needs (including the right to water) in the Occupied Palestinian Territories with
