Limits for downloads
You can’t download content from the Apple TV app on Apple TV 4K, Apple TV HD, smart TVs, streaming devices and on tv.apple.com. Instead, you can only stream content on these devices.
For most Apple TV channels, downloads are available for up to 30 days before they expire. For a few channels, downloads may expire earlier. Some titles you download from your Apple TV subscription will expire 48 hours after you’ve begun playing them, or 30 days after you’ve downloaded them, whichever comes first.
Some Apple TV channels may have limits for how many titles can be downloaded simultaneously and the number of devices you can download content on. The number of titles you can download with your Apple TV subscription at one time may also be limited. If you reach the limit, the Apple TV app will alert you. If you want to download more titles, delete TV episodes or films you've already downloaded from one of your (or your family's) devices.
Limits for streaming on multiple devices
Apple TV subscription: For most content, one subscription allows you to enjoy six simultaneous streams. Some titles may be available to stream on fewer devices at the same time.
Apple Music student subscription with Apple TV access: One subscription allows you to stream Apple TV on one device at a time.
Apple TV channels: One subscription allows you to enjoy up to three simultaneous streams for most channels. Some channels may allow more or less than three simultaneous streams.
The Apple TV app, Apple TV channels, Apple TV subscription and store availability may vary by country or region. See what’s available in your country or region. Apple TV subscription does not include third-party branded subscription services or content available for rental or purchase in the Apple TV app.
