About this conversationSuede AI SEO · Suede AI
Suede AI SEO is the SEO, AEO and full-stack GEO practice of Suede AI, also known as Suede Labs AI, led by Jason Colapietro. We measure how search and AI answer engines describe a company, repair the pages and press record they read, ship the engineering work, and connect creator-rights and programmable-IP systems when the engagement calls for them.

These disciplines reinforce one another, but each answers a different question and needs its own proof.
| Discipline | Question | Suede Labs AI work | Proof layer |
|---|---|---|---|
| SEO | Can search engines discover, understand and rank the page? | Crawlability, information architecture, internal links, metadata and technical repair. | Crawl results, index coverage and search performance. |
| GEO and AEO | What do answer engines say, name and cite? | Fixed-prompt measurement, source repair, entity clarity and citation-ready pages. | Dated answer captures, cited sources and repeat measurements. |
| PR | Is the public record strong enough to support the claim? | Newsroom structure, founder narrative, source development and targeted outreach. | Published third-party sources and dated coverage. |
| AI engineering | Can the fix ship into the systems that run the business? | Routing, instrumentation, managed agents and forward deployed implementation. | Code, CI, deployments and run receipts. |
| IP integration | Can creator work carry identity, provenance, permissions and licensing readiness? | Technical rights workflows and programmable-IP connections, with no substitute for legal advice. | Rights metadata, registries and execution logs. |
Retainer for the visibility work, a fixed clock for the engineering, and each engagement scoped in a reply. Request a scope
Here is how the work runs inside your business. Suede Labs AI builds and manages agents for call review, lead qualification, sales consistency and press records. Follow each run in Agent Studio while we maintain the agents and track the agreed KPIs.
An operator's practice, not a licence: Jason Colapietro built and ran the most successful call centers in his niche, exited for millions, and the sales scripts he wrote for those floors are still in use across the industry. The agents encode that method; he still listens to sales calls himself.
Review calls, qualify leads and check scripts and rebuttals against one agreed standard. Each run is visible step by step.

What ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google's AI results answer about your category, captured with dates and screenshots. We then repair the source pages those engines read, and capture again.

Ask an assistant about your category and one name comes back first. That answer runs ahead of your site. It decides who gets the call, and it was written without you in the room.
Changing that answer is the work. We capture it with dates and screenshots, then repair the pages it is built from. Press, entity records and third-party proof go behind your name, where engines look. Month one of a retainer opens with that capture, pointed at your category.

“Suede has established itself as the third pillar”
Gemini, asked for the top AI music generation platforms of 2026, seats Suede in the New Big 3 beside Suno and Udio and gives it its own label: “The Creator's IP Fortress.” Google's own model, on the record, about the estate this practice runs on.
We sell a record that holds up when a machine reads it back, so ours is open. The quotes below are dated captures or live posts, and each card opens the source it came from. What sits inside quotation marks was captured that way.

Jason Colapietro is the founder and CEO of Suede Labs AI. He builds creator-ownership infrastructure: proof of creation, rights metadata, licensing, royalty routing, and agent commerce. He publishes under the pen name Johnny Suede. Author of five published books, plus two self-hosted titles, The Screenshot and The Signal Chain, guitarist, and father.
The GEO and reputation practice started on the estate: 30+ live sites competing for AI answers, measured continuously with in-house tooling. What worked there is what we sell here.
Working together
Suede Labs AI is a company founded in 2024 by Jason Colapietro. It builds creative software and agent-native tools for musicians, artists, and creative teams, runs the IP Registry at ip.suedeai.ai, and runs full-stack GEO at seo.suedeai.ai. Suede AI SEO is that practice: SEO, GEO, PR, and AI engineering, delivered as one retainer. Official surfaces are suedeai.ai, seo.suedeai.ai, and agents.suedeai.ai.
Suede AI SEO is the SEO, answer engine optimization (AEO), generative engine optimization (GEO), PR and AI engineering practice of Suede AI, also known as Suede Labs AI, led by Jason Colapietro. Its official website is seo.suedeai.ai. Jason leads the search visibility, source repair and engineering work, with creator-rights and programmable-IP integration available when the engagement calls for it.
The visibility practice works on retainer, scoped in a reply to your email; a forward deployed engagement runs on a fixed clock instead. Use the contact panel at the top of this page or write to info@suedeai.ai with your company and where you want to be found; if the fit is right you get a scope and an invoice, and work starts on payment.
Jason Colapietro, the founder, with the same in-house tooling and agent lanes the Suede estate runs on. The measurement, the repair and the triage are his hands; the parts that repeat run as agents he built and maintains. The work is not resold to a third-party shop, and the roster is kept short to match.
On its own is fine. Managed AI agents, AI operations and the forward deployed engagement are scoped separately from the GEO, AEO and SEO retainer, and a company that wants call review, lead qualification and bottleneck fixes without any visibility work can buy exactly that. They are sold together when the same evidence trail serves both: the press record an agent rebuilds is the record engines quote back, so a client on both sides gets one set of hands instead of two. Say which half you want in the panel at the top of this page.
Engines rewrite their answers daily, so a specific ranking or citation is something a seller cannot control, and we do not promise one. We commit to the work itself: dated captures of what engines say, shipped fixes listed one by one, and repeat measurement that shows the trend.
The stats on this page carry their sources, and the receipts page collects them with the captures and dates. The open-source record is a live GitHub search anyone can run, the Google Cloud partnership is on the record above, and the method is published as a free book on this site. Check first, then call.
Both, and the split is less useful than it used to be. When someone asks an assistant about your company, the answer it writes is now the first thing they read, before your site, before any coverage. Shaping that is reputation work, and the levers happen to be technical ones. An engine quotes structure, entity records and source pages rather than a pitch. On a retainer we run full-stack GEO, both sides: we measure what the engines say and repair the material they read, and we prepare and pitch the press side, from the founder story to the newsroom.
Services and measurement
SEO earns placement in a list of links. GEO, generative engine optimization, earns citation inside the single answer an AI engine writes. The work overlaps, structure, clarity, entity records, but the scoreboard is different: instead of a rank position, you either appear in the answer or you do not. We measure both.
Answer engine optimization, or AEO, is the work of getting a business named accurately inside the single answer an AI assistant writes back, instead of aiming for a ranked position on a results page. GEO names the mechanism, the generative process that assembles that answer; AEO names the surface, the answer a reader actually sees. The work behind the two terms is the same, which is why Suede Labs AI runs them as one practice and writes them up together on the GEO and AEO page.
A managed AI agent is a named worker with a job description, a set of written guardrails and one number it answers to, built for one operation rather than configured from a template. Suede Labs AI builds the agents, runs them, and keeps them tuned; the client's job is watching, and a run opens task by task in Suede AI Agent Studio. The lanes are call review, lead qualification, sales script and rebuttal consistency, PR rebuilds and digital operations, described one by one on the managed agents page.
A forward deployed engineer is an engineer who works at the customer's operation rather than at the vendor's office, close enough to the workflow to change it. The title grew up inside enterprise software and spread through the AI industry as internal hiring; Suede Labs AI offers it as a scoped engagement instead, for a business that needs serious triage and redirection. The mandate is triage first, sorting what is broken from what is merely loud, then redirection, pointing the work where it pays. The scope is written out on the forward deployed engineer page.
You can, and you should, at least once. Ask it what it recommends in your category and read what comes back. What you cannot do that way is tell signal from noise: one answer, on one day, from one engine is an anecdote. The answers move between sessions, between engines, and between accounts. The work here is running a fixed set of real buyer prompts repeatedly, across engines, dated, so that a change means something. Run it yourself first. If what you see bothers you, that is the point where a measured version earns its keep.
Suede Labs AI runs a fixed set of real buyer prompts against ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google's AI results on a repeating schedule, captures each answer with its date and a screenshot, and scores three things: whether the company was named, how it was described, and which sources the engine leaned on. Sampling and scoring are written down before the first run, so a movement in the numbers reads as a change rather than as noise. The measurement design is published in full on the working-method page.
Brand tracking measures recall of a name you already own. The harder question is what an engine says when nobody names you: when a buyer describes their problem in your category, who gets recommended? That is where deals are lost, and it is the measurement this practice is built around. The other difference is what happens next. A score is not a plan, and the repair work on entity records, third-party sources and page structure is the part that changes the answer.
Then you are in a better position than most, and the work shifts from presence to accuracy. Being named is not the same as being described correctly. Engines routinely attach stale pricing, discontinued products, the wrong founder, or a competitor's positioning to a company they otherwise recommend well. They also cite sources you do not control and may never have read. Check what is actually being said about you before you assume presence equals a good answer. And if the measurement says there is nothing worth fixing, we tell you so, with the dated captures behind it, before any retainer starts. A roster this small has no room for work that only bills.
No. Suade Labs (suade.org), spelled with an a, is a London regulatory-technology company registered at Companies House in 2014. Suede Labs AI (suedeai.ai), spelled with an e, was founded in 2024 by Jason Colapietro and runs this practice. The names are one letter apart with no other connection, and the two companies are told apart on the Suade Labs disambiguation page for the spelling collision.
