Showed $14/mo in my dashboard then charged me $566 automatically for contacts which I already deleted.

Integrations don't work, systems are outdated and not updated. They are a money machine, do not care about customers - tried to contact them, impossible.

I’ve been dealing with Mailchimp’s compliance team for three days, following every step they asked for and providing everything they requested.
Despite that, they kept rejecting my campaign with no clear explanation.
This has been the worst experience I’ve had with any email marketing platform.
Such a waste of money on a paid subscription that gave me nothing but frustration.
I truly regret choosing Mailchimp.

You can make changes to your plan at any time. Upgrade your plan or contact tier, downgrade to a free plan, or pause your account, all from the Account & Billing section. You can also view the promotional offer terms.
How do I change it? Explain
1. Contact tier
2. Downgrade to the free plan
3. Pause your account

Besides all the amazing features, they also have an really helpful and kind support! Would always reccomend reaching out!
Worst service ever. Its an absolute joke. Please stay away from this company. Its almost a fraud. Their compliance detection system is a joke. Save your money elsewhere, even if you didnt use their service they will still not issue full refund

Probably the worst online service experience I have ever experienced. I signed up, had 10.2k contacts to import. They wanted to charge me right out of the gate, no free trial because of my list size. I paid at a discounted rate, figured I'd give it a go. It look 4+ hours to import my contacts and data. Finally I go to create an email and I am met with the worst template selection. So after a few days of trying to figure out their system and navigate their awful selection I check billing and see they're increasing my bill by 20%
immediately the following month. I decide this is not for me. I've sent 0 emails. I reach out to chat for a refund, its been about 5 days since sign up. After an hour in chat they have to create a support ticket for a refund. Takes over 24 hours for support to get to my ticket. They require me to delete my entire account before they issue a refund that they say goes against their policy as they don't offer refunds. I go to delete my account and they want to charge me $20 to delete it. Insanity. Any one is a better option after this horrible experience.

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. I was a prospect customer and was inquiring about Mailchimp's services in their premium package. I called and a Pedro answered the call. His customer service was horrible and told me the answer's to my question's were easily attainable on their website and wouldn't answer my questions. I informed him if they were, I wouldn't be on the phone with him confirming that information. I asked to speak with someone that could answer my questions and he wanted information about my company size, number of contacts, and asked what industry my company was in. I answered and asked what this information had to do with my question about their product. He then directed me to google and to find my information on there if I wasn't comfortable answering his questions. This rep could not deviate from his script to actually provide true customer service and just lost a prospect looking to purchase a membership for next year. Mailchimp please do better. This experience was horrible and I will be warning other colleagues and businesses from engaging with your level and lack of service. Any prospect is going to want to know about your product without being sold to or data farmed just to speak to someone qualified in your office. Stop making the customer journey so difficult, or continue and have it reflect in your numbers.

Awful Service! Tried to cancel the service, something we haven't used for over 12 months and had our account suspended as we had requested. Before renewal we decided to close and delete the account due to high charges and upon cancelling its asking me to pay £19.60? - This is an account we haven't used for over a year! - Trying to speak to someone at MailChimp is a complete nightmare, I would advise NOT signing up for their services as managing and cancelling services is near-on impossible, their so-called "Help & Support" is far from helpful they just want customers money wth no support whatsoever
This is just a money-generating service - There are other better companies out there, Just look at all the reviews on here that point to their disregard to customers

We’ve been with Mailchimp for over 15 years. Back when we were a small startup they were helpful, human, and felt like a partner you could trust. Over the years we grew with them, paid every invoice, recommended them to others, and never caused trouble. Even helped them spot bugs and improvements.
Now? A completely different company.
We tried to downgrade our plan and suddenly they want to charge us thousands of euros extra because of some internal “timing rule” about when downgrades are allowed. No warning, no discussion, just: pay €5,000+ or stay on the expensive plan.
It’s absurd.
Not once did anyone reach out to explain things, offer a workaround, or even acknowledge that long-term customers deserve basic respect. Instead, we were pushed around by rigid policies and a tone that basically said: pay or leave.
The truth is Mailchimp is a company that built its brand on being friendly, supportive, and community-driven and have now turned into something completely different: cold, inflexible, and hiding behind billing semantics to squeeze money from loyal clients.
Trying to avoid writing whats in my head but If you’re considering Mailchimp today, be aware that the company you read about in old blog posts, the one that helped small businesses grow, is gone. Don’t be surprised if they suddenly hit you with an invoice big enough to make you question why you trusted them in the first place.
Avoid the headache. There are better options now.

I never leave bad reviews but the poor customer service received from Mailchimp has pushed me to do so. I was overcharged multiple times - I closed my business a year ago and have been trying for months to simply close my Mailchimp account, it's been a nightmare to do something so simple! Staff do not communicate with eachother or read up on any case notes before giving generic replies. Terrible customer service. Bugs stopped me from exporting my data and cancelling multiple times. I closed my business a year ago and have been trying to cancel my account for months. I paused my account to start with as I needed to export some data first, the staff member told me I would not be charged any more if I paused. This was a lie - months later my account unpaused itself and I was charged again. I went to export my data so I could delete my account completely but there was a bug in their system that stopped me from doing this. I spoke to someone from Mailchimp again and they explained they would log a bug with the technical team and to pause my account until I hear back. I questioned this as last time I paused my account it unpaused and I was charged again. They refunded me for part of the overcharged amount. I explicitly told them I wanted to cancel and that no further charges should be taken from my account, I was assured that I wouldn't be charged with my account paused. They apologised and said the tech team would get back to me when I could try the export again and then I could cancel my account. I waited for a technical member of the team to get back to me, no one ever did. Then I was charged again. I had to get in contact with Mailchimp and re-explain the whole situation again and after a long conversation they escalated it to the billing team. I was STILL unable to cancel my account and they were unable to do it from their end. Then today I received an email from a member of staff refused to refund me, even though I had been assured I wouldn't be charged and the whole reason I couldn't cancel in the first place was due to a bug in Mailchimps system that I was waiting to be fixed. I am so fed up of chasing them and arguing at this point that I have had to pay more money in 'overages' to get my account cancelled using the automated service on their website as I am sick to death of having to deal with this company (even though I haven't used this system and have been trying to cancel for a little under a year). Terrible! If you're a small business who needs to watch what they spend - avoid at all costs.

Sam was incredibly patient and guided through a complex process.
I SHOULD HAVE READ BAD REVIEWS FIRST :( I paused the service in May and they charged my card for $110 5 months later. After contacting them, they sent confusing email...Went to close and delete the account but when you try deleting it they want to charge you again $120 for closing the account!!! WTChuck!! What is this company? This is insane practice...I used their service for several years and this is how they treat their customers. Avoid at all cost.

2FA bugged, I sent them the issue + screenshots + indications but they ignored me all day, still locked out of my account and this is damaging my business. Very bad company, with poor support.

Reply from Intuit Mailchimp
They have a perpetual 2FA problem, their SMS just stops working and they never implemented a fallback method.
Their agents act like nothing's wrong, ask you to change devices like that's going to do anything (but doesn't).
Poor experience, poor support. Absolute incompetency.

The only reason I quit is they charge too much for 1000 subscribers

It isn't woking like I was told it would in the onboarding call

Diabolical company avoid at all costs. They will charge you mammoth amounts for zero usage. Just storing 2,000 contact in there and not doing anything with them, they’ll charge you £100+ a month. It’s absolute insanely this thieving company exists. Avoid
