About

I build and run the systems an organization depends on: the record of who it deals with, the data model underneath it, the integrations feeding it, and the reporting that comes out. I have also hired and led the people around those systems, and run a business on the numbers they produced. Currently the founding engineer at Omnia Insurance Group.

Systems

• CRM administration. Built and ran the CRM an organization works out of — user and role administration, custom objects and fields, validation, and staged environments for testing before release.
• Data modeling. Built an admin-facing data-model editor so staff can add objects and fields themselves and have them appear in forms, search, and reporting without an engineer or a deploy.
• Migration and mapping. Designed a canonical data model that incoming records from third-party systems map onto, with a CSV import path for the systems that offer no API.
• Integrations. Built and maintained integrations across telephony, email, payments, analytics, and storage providers, so one toolset covers work that used to need four.
• Access and permissions. Multi-tenant access model with role tiers, invitations, onboarding and offboarding, and per-record scoping that returns nothing rather than too much when a rule is missed.
• Reporting. Reports, dashboards, and reconciliation runs that turn hundreds of rows into the handful of decisions somebody actually has to make.
• Data governance. Consent tracking, contact-time rules, and multi-year retention built to TCPA, CMS, and HIPAA requirements, enforced in the system rather than in policy documents.
• Documentation and support. Architecture decision records and standard operating procedures, and a track record of using support-ticket volume to decide what gets fixed next.

Work

Founding engineer — Omnia

October 2025 - present

Omnia Insurance Group. An autonomous system for running an insurance brokerage: it works the leads, routes the calls, and hands off to a licensed human at the point where the law says it has to.

• Built the console that replaced a brokerage's stack of separate products, putting the CRM, the dialer, call review, and reporting in one toolset against one set of records.
• Built an admin-facing data-model editor so staff define their own objects and fields, which then flow into forms, search, and reporting with no deploy.
• Designed the canonical client and policy model that incoming records from third-party agency management systems map onto, with a CSV import path for the systems that offer no API.
• Built the multi-tenant access model: role tiers, invitations, staff onboarding and offboarding, and per-record scoping that fails closed.
• Integrated telephony, transcription, email, analytics, and object storage behind that one toolset.
• Built the reporting and reconciliation surfaces that reduce a carrier statement from hundreds of rows to a handful of decisions.
• Enforced consent, contact-hour, and multi-year retention rules in the system itself, to TCPA, CMS, and HIPAA requirements.
• Wrote the architecture decision records and operating procedures the rest of the work is held to.

Frontend lead — Whim

Fragile. Whim rents premium products by the month from the brands that make them. I was in charge of everything frontend, across three separate surfaces.

• Built and owned three frontends: the marketing site, the customer portal, and an embeddable surface that ships inside partner brands' own websites.
• Built the customer portal where people manage active orders, payments, and account details, including the order records that carry the subscription date, discount code, agreement, and order number.
• Added a storefront to the portal, with monthly rates against retail pricing and size variants priced as monthly deltas.

Software engineer, app team — Rainbow

From October 2023

Rainbow. A crypto wallet on iOS and Android. I reworked three of the core modules behind the mobile app.

• Rebuilt wallet backups after support tickets showed people losing funds to a backup the app claimed had worked, and brought Google Drive to parity with iCloud so Android users got the same guarantees.
• Directly responsible individual on the rebuild of swaps, the feature the company earns on at a 0.85% fee per swap: set the direction, ran planning, and made the call with design and product on what shipped.
• Onboarded and mentored engineers joining the work.
• Reworked collectibles with per-chain fetching, cursor pagination, and a slimmer paginated payload; a wallet that previously would not load at all rendered its first page in under 300ms.
• Designed the caching tiers behind it, refreshing paginated data every thirty seconds and holding collection data up to ten minutes, across multiple accounts at once.

Senior frontend engineer — Recur Forever

RECUR. I owned the frontend for RECUR Studio, the platform brands used to create an NFT project end to end.

• Owned the frontend of a full-stack application built on Remix and React with Prisma over PostgreSQL, running on Kubernetes on AWS.
• Worked with the platform team on scalability and performance and with product designers on the interface.
• Two-week agile sprints, with tickets in JIRA and documentation in Confluence.

Founder — Nebula

Summer 2018 - Spring 2021

Nebula. Automation software for online retail releases, which I built, licensed, and ran as a business.

• Grew it to $175,000 in monthly recurring revenue and thousands of daily active users worldwide.
• Hired, paid, and led a team of up to six across engineering, design, marketing, and support, and owned the spend they worked against.
• Took it from a single script to a licensed product, then rewrote it as a web application on React and a Go backend.
• Ran support and the customer community, which became both the main feedback channel and the most effective marketing channel.
• Held the rewrite under 30 MB while widening the feature set.
