Hello

Hello, I am a former member of Superhero Marketplace. I trusted them back in 2017 when I first started learning about the Amazon FBA business. I purchased their training courses led by Robert Rickey and Stephan Somers. Later, I bought their coaching program for $7,000 USD, which promised lifetime membership with weekly webinars — but those stopped after about a year.

I was also a member of Superhero Freight and purchased logistics services from them. Stephan Somers and Robert Rickey always said that regardless of market changes (whether logistics prices went up or down), we were buying a prepaid service that guaranteed stability. Then COVID came, and the nice stories ended. They failed to keep their promises and suspended the prepaid services so we could no longer use them, forcing us to repurchase at prices up to five times higher.

I know several people who lost thousands of dollars and were never compensated — because this company deceived them. Later, these two men sold Superhero Freight to their employees, Melissa Armstrong and Keith Armstrong, who renamed it to EnZone. They did it in a deceptive way, still sending invoices under the Superhero Freight company name but displaying the EnZone logo on the invoices — which is illegal and violates regulations.

EnZone’s fees are outright daylight robbery, and people who are not experienced in business lose huge amounts of money. Don’t be fooled by their sweet promises — they have deceived many people by breaking their commitments, and only thanks to one former client who took the company to court was it possible to recover a small portion of the money.

Marketplace Superheroes…

I joined the Marketplace Superheroes family just under one year ago. My experience has been fantastic. The Kickstart program is easy to understand and covers everything you need to start your Amazon business. I also joined Catalyst in February. This program helps you grow your business even further and includes one on one coaching. I’d highly recommend this company to anyone who wants to sell on Amazon.

Very pleased with our results

Our experience with MPSH has been terrific! We are a husband and wife team who joined MPSH in February of 2024. We've since joined a couple of their programs (including the coaching programs) and we've learned that when you work the program, it will work for you. As with any business, running an Amazon business comes with its frustrations (and expenses). The team at MPSH is always willing to answer our questions and help us learn more and more as we go trough this journey. We truly believe they want to help us be successful, but choosing to put in the effort it takes to be successful is up to us!

Excellent, professional group to work with!

This group always does what they say they will do. They truly care about you and your business and will help you in anyway.

They have shown me how to make money on the Amazon platform in ways that I could not have imagined.

Please Run away from this!

We acquired the origin course at the time for 5k plus the ir normal training course for 700 euros.
This course had mentors, a special Facebook page and so on. It all sounded really Nice but we soon understood that we were in the Middle of a potencial pirâmid schema.

Lets dig deeper:
1) Hidden feed: they dont disclaim the fees we had to pay superheroes. I will sum up:
*) Storage fee to use warehouse: 100 USD
*) Storage fee for products stored: around 120 USD. It depends on the amount of units. Worthy to note, their storage fee was the same as Amazon......
*) accoutninfg fee: 120 USD

Só.. with this fees we sum up 200-300 EVERY month, no matter your scale.

On top you Will also have Amazon feed, etc etc...

They dont explain this.... They oversell and oversell courses and webninars.

Their modus operandi is gather new costumers, have them pay for their expensicve courses and continue doing like this since their old costumers then end up closing their business... Sounds pretty much like a pirâmid schema right?

Theres alot more to say about Stephen... Not serious people nor serious business owners.

Ps: if you have a negative review to post on their Facebook page they wont aprove it. Thats why you dont see any negative feedback... Doubt that any proper and serious business would do that...

Hi Miguel Vaz,

Thanks for taking the time to share your experience. We attempted to contact you via Trustpilot but received no response. I’m sorry to hear we didn’t meet your expectations and I appreciate the opportunity to clarify a few points.

About fees and “hidden costs”
The storage and accounting fees you mention are standard operating costs for running an e-commerce business. We offer optional services (e.g., 3PL storage, bookkeeping) to make things easier for members, but there’s never an obligation to use them. Members are free to use any provider they prefer. Wherever we provide services, the pricing is shared and is separate from our training. Whether you have an online shop or a physical shop, these are expenses that will always form part of any business.

Amazon fees
Selling on Amazon involves platform fees that are charged by Amazon directly. These are publicly listed by Amazon and apply to all sellers. We don’t receive any portion of Amazon’s fees, and we’re not affiliated with Amazon. Part of our training encourages members to research these costs and model their margins before launching, precisely so there are no surprises.

Our programs, mentors, and intent
We take our members’ businesses seriously. The courses, mentor calls, and community exist to help people build real skills and make informed decisions. We do not operate a recruitment or referral model, and there is no requirement to buy additional services to participate or progress. Many members use outside providers and succeed just the same.

Thank you again for the feedback.

Not low budget friendly

I bought the kickstart course, on the promise you could do this with a low budget. This is not true, well at least not as low of a budget, that they claim. It takes a good bit of capital to get up and running, you need to set up a limited liability company, costs money and then make you're VAT returns etc. Without having the money to pay for an accountant this can get very stressful and if you make any mistakes you will be penalized by revenue and CRO, heavily penalized. Then you need capital to buy products, however what they dont tell you is that you are unable to buy most products when you start out as they are "gated" and you must buy 100 units of one product from the proper provider before amazon will even consider you being able to sell. There is many road blocks by Amazon that make it impossible for you to sell products, and you are expected to take your losses just to get ungated to sell products, when you have a low budget, even lower due to set up fees, you can not afford these losses. The support is minimal, very minimal, mainly just a facebook page, where a lot of the time, your problems are not resolved, with little engagement from the mentors on the team. I have used up all of my savings and not made a penny. I am currently dealing with revenue over late penalties fees, more money, and have to pay an account to file returns even though I have not traded. It has caused me great stress and financial loss. Amazon can also, change the rules when ever they want and leave you with stock that is no longer any good to you and they are incredibly hard to deal with. I gave a two star review, because perhaps if you have lots of spare capital, and a lot of spare time, you could maybe make it work but this review is a warning to people with a low budget, looking for a new way to make a living, please stay away and not make the mistake I did. Maybe in the past, it was a lot easier to do, but even in the short time I have been doing it, Amazon have cracked down immensely on thrid party sellers and also so have the brands themselves, making it very hard and costly to get going. I have three months of monthly payments left to pay, and plan to strike off my company. I can not wait to be done with this course and this part of life. All it brought was financial hardship and misery and stress. Proceed with caution is all I say.

Hi Theresa,

Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed review. I’m really sorry to hear about the stress you’ve experienced. We never want anyone to feel misled, so I’d like to clarify a few points and offer practical help.

About “low budget” and setup costs
Our Kickstart program teaches a low-budget path to begin through retail arbitrage: testing small buys (often 5–10 units) from regular retailers to validate demand and margins before committing more capital. That said, every business has some setup and operating costs. Company formation and VAT are jurisdiction-specific and optional for some beginners depending on local rules. We encourage all members to check requirements in their country and start lean where possible.

VAT, accounting, and compliance
We understand compliance can feel daunting. While we can’t provide legal or tax advice, we give guidance on planning cash flow. Any business will require the assistance of an accountant.

Brand gating and unit requirements
Amazon’s gating varies by brand, category, and account history. It is not uniformly “100 units.” Some brands require 10 units, some none, and this can change. Our approach is to start with ungated categories/brands and only pursue ungating when the numbers make sense. No one should be risking large orders to “get in” if the budget is tight. We even have a "one-click brand ungater" sheet where you can get ungated to many brands instantly.

Inventory risk and changing Amazon rules
You’re right that Amazon policies evolve. That’s why the training emphasizes small test orders, cash-flow discipline, and exit/return strategies where possible to reduce risk. This unfortunately, is completely out of our control, but we always encourage members to bring these issues to the FB communities so that we can try to assist.

Support and community
Support isn’t limited to a Facebook page. It includes step-by-step training, mentor guidance, and community help. If your questions weren’t resolved, in Facebook, you can also send us an email. Please send us your details so we can trace what happened and make it right where possible.

We genuinely want you to succeed and we’re sorry this has been such a tough experience. If you’re open to it, we’d like to review your account one-to-one: your budget constraints, the niches you targeted, any gating roadblocks, and a clear plan to either stabilize and move forward on a tighter spend. We’ve sent a private request to verify your details, but unfortuanely, we did not hear back from you.

Thank you again for the candid feedback. It helps us improve how we set expectations and support members with smaller budgets.

Lucky escape

Lucky escape. Rule of thumb. Never pay any third party to sell anything on Amazon. Amazon has many tools to assist you to sell on their marketplace, whether it’s physical products, Merch or KDP. I signed up for the webinar which I won’t be attending and these people won’t get a penny.

Hi Cybalik

Appreciate you sharing your view.

We agree that Amazon provides solid free resources. Many sellers also choose third-party training for structure, live Q&A, and community support. Our webinars are free and purely educational; there’s never any obligation to buy.

If you’d like, we’ll remove your email from future invites. If you ever decide to attend a session or review our materials, we’re happy to answer questions so you can make an informed decision. Thanks for taking the time to comment.

No! Turn around do something else.

I went for it. Bought their incredibly expensive courses and launched a bunch of products. All the members follow the same ideas. It's basically a giant group of people doing the same thing. No matter what I did, no matter what type of course I tried, other people from the course did the same or copied my products. You might ask how I know. Basically, they teach how to find a well-selling product with low competition and good options for improvement. You then find the product on Alibaba, add a small bonus product to the offer, and sell it for the same price as the competitor. Now just wait a couple of months, and 10 other people have launched the same type of product, and the market is oversaturated. Everyone is now unable to sell. Storage and ad costs are killing your profits and you are now in for 4k plus the thousands you spend on the course that you will never get back. It's really easy to see that the people all come from the same course. You can just check their business address, as the course helps you register your business, and everyone ends up with the same business address. I would never ever recommend this to anyone. It worked when it was a tiny group of people doing it in 2015. I am writing this to help others save their time and money in 2025. I've lost so much money, and even more when one of their warehouses went bust. such a disaster! Have seen so many of my competitors go bust (from the course). Looking back, I wish I had reached out. We could have helped each other get out faster.

Their marketing strategy is to sell you your dream. Imagine sitting on the beach, making money while you sleep and so on. Watch out!

Hi All

Hi All. I made the mistake of joining this course that says it teaches people to sell products on amazon. I joined the extremely expensive acsension program. I also had to pay a monthly subscription for the hero launchpad software. Despite being part of the mentorship program, and the many hours of product research and money spent, after one year on this program I made not a single sale on amazon. Almost all the products that I sent for asin analysis came back as not good enough. I also had grief with the online seller itself to set up a payment processor. I had great difficulty signing up with the list of distributors as I do not live in USA. I have nothing but regrets for buying this course.
