Buckle up, because I'm about to tell you a story of how I made my first sale in real estate. This an acre-sized victory that still makes me leap for joy anytime I remember.

On a fateful day, I woke up to the prospect’s call. It was a man whose wife has spoken to concerning our property. During the call, he asked me many questions which I answered all.

At the end of the call, he was convinced and promised to make a payment next week because he doesn’t have all the money at the moment and he doesn’t like to spread his payment .

I thought to myself “Next week?”, in the world of sales, next week is an eternity where deals evaporate faster than a free ice cream cone in summer.

Now, I could have played it safe, accepted the "maybe later," and hang up but something in me whispered, "Go for it, Fabian”

So, with a deep breath, I told him about the hungry wolves of the sales team who push our products out and they are chances the property will have been sold out by the time he is ready to pay next week.

And guess what? It worked. He requested for the company’s account, right there, my first acre-sized sale was sealed.

Quick lesson, don’t just learn how to sell, sell with urgency.
