EPALE - Electronic Platform for Adult Learning in Europe

Roche aux Fées Communauté is a federation of municipalities in Brittany. There are 27 465 residents, with 58% who are living in only three cities (Janzé, Retiers and Martigné-Ferchaud). It is a territory on a human scale, essentially rural with an urban influence, with a few main towns and its proximity to the city of Rennes.

The main responsibilities of the federation are : 

• Economic developpment

• Agro ecological and energy transition

• Housing 

• Mobility

• Culture 

• Sport

• Tourism

• Infrastructure 

• Services to the population

These include a music school, media libraries, youth projects, sports activities, 

a cultural program (concerts, shows, etc.), and Makerspace.

The makerspace has been operating for 10 years. It's a valuable resource for the community, 

serving both the various federation departments and the residents themselves.

It's a fablab, a workshop where you learn by doing it yourself, while interacting with others. 

We learn about digital transition issues, new mobilities, sobriety for example. 

Like others services of the federation, the goal is to develop skills, empowering people.
