ASOCIACION DE PERSONAS PARTICIPANTES AGORA
About Us
We are a non-profit organisation dedicated to adult education, digital inclusion, cultural participation, and social empowerment. Since 1986, we have been providing accessible learning opportunities for adults of all ages, especially adults +65, migrants, women in vulnerable situations, and people with low levels of formal education. Our mission is to promote lifelong learning, democratic participation, and equal access to knowledge, empowering individuals to take an active role in their personal, social, and professional development.
What We Do
We offer a wide range of educational courses, including literacy and basic skills, digital competence training, Catalan and Spanish language learning, cultural activities, and workshops that strengthen community bonds. Our approach is inclusive, participatory, and grounded in the principles of human rights, cultural diversity, and social transformation. A significant part of our work focuses on guidance and employability training, supporting adults in improving their professional skills and accessing new opportunities in the labour market.
Volunteer-Based Community Learning
Volunteering is a fundamental pillar of our organisation. More than 100 trained volunteers actively participate in teaching, mentoring, community events, and project development. Their contribution ensures a democratic, participatory learning environment and strengthens the social bond of our community. Our educational model demonstrates how volunteer-led adult education can foster empowerment, solidarity, and meaningful lifelong learning.
