You already know that Mobile Legends: Bang Bangâs (MLBB) heroes have got the moves. Now thereâs another way to test their mettle â by moving off the battlefield and onto the chequered board to face against other tacticians in the epic matches of auto battler Magic Chess: Go Go (MCGG).
Start with a handful of heroes, then grow your teamâs power through randomised recruitment. Equipment, trait synergies and hero positioning all play a part in your strategy until you beat all seven other players in the match and come out on top. Hereâs a closer look at how.
Familiar faces, new playground
Leading commanders? Fighting heroes? In one form or another, youâll find many of MLBBâs most recognisable faces such as Layla, Guinevere and Ling in MCGG.
Playing helps you unlock commanders who can be levelled up through the Star Trail. Each commander has their own hero-buffing ability like Laylaâs combat hologram or Chouâs gold-earning boost. And they can be customised with skins, effects and emotes.
Heroes carry over their class designations and signature moves from MLBB, so seasoned players will already know what each hero is best at. And if youâre new to this game universe, MCGGâs Gallery feature will tell you all you need to know about the gameâs core mechanics and hero capabilities.

Play your cards right
MCGG comes with the usual hallmarks of the auto battler genre: a randomised list of heroes to buy from, a strength-boosting merging mechanic, synergies that are created when you collect enough heroes of the same traits and so on.
What you might not have seen though, are MCGGâs Go Go Cards. Acquire up to three of them during the course of a match, and each one will grant a powerful teamwide bonus that could shape your entire strategy.
One may make all heroes stronger if you have less than four active synergies, while another will give extra defence to all heroes on the same row when there are at least three of them. And with more than 130 cards, youâre bound to get a wholly new combo for each match, opening up innovative strategic choices.

Ready for opening moves
It can be quite daunting to figure out which heroes create what synergies, so MCGG has a handy Lineup feature to help guide you through this discovery process.
Through the Recommended Lineup list, you can see detailed guides on viable team builds, where to place the heroes, optimal commanders and Go Go cards to pair with each build and more. During each match, youâll also see recommendations in the hero shop, giving you advice based on the line-ups youâve chosen to save.
Make your first move and become the ultimate strategy grandmaster in the Land of Dawn. MCGGâs magical chessboard awaits.
