An App Store favourite since 2012, Subway Surfers starts nice and easy. âThis infinite runner isnât so tough,â you think as you hightail it up a ramp and vault over barricades. âI could do this all dayâ¦ah.â
Whoops! Jogged right into a trash bin.
Dodging oncoming trains and racking up coins takes laserlike focus. But donât worry: With practice, youâll be setting high scores in no time â like this one!
Your goal: Get 30,000 points with no continues, using default hero Jake and the starter hoverboard. No problem for a star surfer like you (especially if you raise your score multiplier by completing missions). But try these tips for a little extra help.
Take the high ground
Scrambling across rooftops is often safer than sprinting between cars. You can move in four directions, which gives you more escape routes, and you donât have any roadside obstacles to contend with.
Drop to the top
Whether youâre hopping from roof to roof or leaping off one, remember that swiping down gets you to the ground quicker than gravity. Time it right to grab a valuable coin or power-up near a high platform.
Use that board
Speaking of special abilities, donât forget the biggest one of all: your hoverboard! Summoning it will destroy the obstacle directly in front of you, turning your board into a lifesaving smart bomb of sorts.
