Hello, I am Kieran Young, a PhD student studying Computer Architecture under the guidance of Dr. Soner Önder at Michigan Technological University.
My research focuses on optimizing memory instructions in superscalar processors to improve performance and efficiency.
As part of my work, I contribute to our shared in-house simulation framework, including the development of a superscalar processor and a non-blocking cache hierarchy.
I also contribute to projects like instruction space vectorization and others involving in-memory computing and branch prediction.
As part of these projects, I collaborate with a diverse set of researchers and students from institutions such as NTNU and FSU.
In the summer of 2023, I had the opportunity to travel to Norway and collaborate with NTNU in person.
