CEMLA hosted the XI Meeting of the Financial Information Forum in Santiago, in collaboration with the Central Bank of Chile. The #FIF continues to foster technical dialogue and #cooperation on #datainnovation among central banks and supervisors across the Americas and beyond. See details below 👇
📊 How do central banks turn data into action? Last week, we wrapped up the XI Meeting of the Financial Information Forum (FIF) in Santiago, co-hosted with the Central Bank of Chile — following their outstanding Statistics Conference. We welcomed over 45 #centralbanks and #supervisors, including the Federal Reserve Board, European Central Bank, Bank for International Settlements – BIS, International Monetary Fund, and many others across Latin America and the Caribbean. The #FIF is a powerful peer-learning platform where statistical leaders push innovation forward. These meetings are the starting point for working groups and technical assistance led by CEMLA that turn conversations into real-world improvements in how central banks manage data, risk, and innovation. We were fortunate to count on outstanding interventions by Patty Duijm (De Nederlandsche Bank), Bert Kroese (IMF), and Alberto Naudon (Board Member, Central Bank of Chile), who brought strategic clarity on where data science and statistical governance at central banks are heading. A big thanks to our Chilean hosts - led by Gloria Peña and José Miguel Villena Martínez - for their exceptional professionalism — and congratulations on the Central Bank of Chile's 100th anniversary. 🔗 For more about the FIF and its ongoing work: https://lnkd.in/etDP44yd #CentralBanking #FinancialStability #DataScience #Statistics #AI #FIF #CEMLA #TechnicalCooperation #MonetaryPolicy Estadísticas Banco Central de Chile
